Last Monday, March 25, 2013, I was published profusely in the Daily Graphic. I had written about what needed to be the agenda for the post-2015 Millennium Development Goals. In that article I had called for a stand-alone child protection goal in the new global agenda.
A few days ago, for more than two hours, I sat in a presentation of a draft report of research conducted by Challenging Heights. The research looks at the conditions and causes of children losing parental care, from the children’s own perspectives. It was such an insightful research. In the next few months when the final report is ready, it will be released to the general public, and I will be churning out articles from the findings.
The day before that, I was in the offices of Reach for Change Africa taking lessons on how to maximize my visibility via social media. I had been taken through facebooking, twitters, blogging, and strategies for improving follow-ship. One of the lessons I learnt from this coaching was the need for me to add more program photos to this page, and possibly post more activity-oriented photos each week, while keeping the current posting style at the end of each month.
Today I sit in my office writing for your reading pleasure!
Having done all these, and poised with enthusiasm to implement more communications ideas and share our research findings, I faced the stern challenge of the internet. My internet will simply not work!
