Two boys drown in Kumasi.
Two boys, aged 13 and 14, died tragically at Anloga, a Kumasi suburb, when they drowned in a pool of water left behind by contractors who had worked on the Oforikrom-Asokwa road.
For how long should these killings of children continue?
Safe Child as an organisation that creates safer environment for children and youth (Child Safety Vigilantes), has initiated a programme dubbed “Inform to Save.”
“Inform to Save” is where we encourage people in communities to notify Safe Child of any situation that threatens the lives of children like exposed electrical cables, gaping gutters, dilapidated structures or bridges, open reservoirs etc.
Our “Inform to Save” programme is in two folds. First, we educate the community on safety towards behavioural change and Secondly, we permanently solve the problem by removing or correcting the threat to life. We are therefore encouraging everyone who notices a hapless or death threatening case particularly of children within Ghana, to notify Safe Child on +233-27-1446818/ 020-1333545/ 024-9862082.
We work with volunteers, State Agencies, Corporate bodies and other individuals all over the country to save lives.
Let’s help protect our future!
