Safe Child Ghana has published SAFE Magazine, an important new resource for children, the family and anyone else interested in keeping our children safe from all forms of abuse, early marriage, sexual exploitation, fires, home and road traffic injuries. Since there is no planned and consistent safety training for children, this magazine is to serve as a well deserving Safety Manual.
SAFE is an abbreviation for “Safety Awareness For Everyone.” Through creative and fun ways, the child is made to imbibe and change behaviour towards safety issues. The magazine covers health and safety issues, puzzles, curious facts and short stories. The publication includes practical information in the form of poems, jokes, sports, riddles, brainteasers, and articles from children. There is even a step by step instruction on how to prepare nutritious and tasty traditional meals in each edition.
This SAFE Magazine is to be published every school term to also exposes children to Culture diversity and Tourism.
SAFE Magazine is targeted at making children aware of issues which affect them and their environment, by giving them the tools and inspiration to become active and responsible citizens. By picking up this magazine and sharing the information, you are joining us in this effort.
The first print-out of our SAFE Magazine has been distributed to 100 schools of 152 member schools, who have average of 400 pupils. The last batch of 52 member schools will also receive their supplies soon.
