Founder of Safe Child Ghana, Michael Baabu has developed an innovative “Sanitation Board Game,” based on Behavoiral Change Communication Approach to motivate pupils to adopt and sustain healthy behavior towards sanitation and hygiene.
The Sanitation Board Game is to inculcate good sanitation practices in over 20,000 pupils in 40 schools within the Greater Accra Region. Every child will freely receive and own a Board Game to learn Sanitation and Hygiene behavior, and learn to maintain the GAMA schools’ toilets facilities.
This project is a partnership between Safe Child Ghana and “GAMA-Sanitation & Water Project.”
The Sanitation Board Game tackles 5 thematic areas; namely, Promoting Hand washing behavior, Environmental Sanitation, Water & Food safety, Stop Open Defecation and the Maintenance of GAMA Schools’ toilets facilities.
